| EAS-CAP Profile Recommendation (EAS-CAP-0.1) Abstract: Public warnings intended for transmission over the Emergency Alert System (EAS) can be encoded in Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) messages in various ways. A consensus among EAS equipment manufacturers and warning practitioners regarding a single recommended pattern for compatible encoding—the “EAS-CAP Profile”—is documented along with a number of related recommendations. |

How to Submit Comments
The EAS-CAP Industry Group invites comments on its Recommendations and Other Releases.
Please send any comments to comment@eas-cap.org by or before 10 November 2008.
The subject line of your message must clearly identify the Document or Recommendation.
Provide your name, organizational affiliation and contact information.
If you attach a document, the format should conform to one of the following: PDF, MS Word, RTF, ASCII text).
DO NOT submit attachments as HTML, GIF, TIFF, PIF, ZIP, or EXE.
Important: Comments may be made available to the public. Comments sent via online form or e-mail, may be posted on our website. We do not edit personal identifying information from submissions; submit only information that you wish to make available publicly. We reserve the right not to post any information deemed inappropriate.
